Building Confidence and Trying New Things
Hi Guys!
I have been asking for constructive feedback on my blog posts in order to bring you better content, so from that I want to start showing you guys how I build my reality and ways of thinking. Granted, I am not filthy rich (yet) but I like to study those that are, and those that have made a huge impact on this planet. I find them very interesting. I also find that there are so many similarities and patterns of thinking among these high achieving bad asses.
If we are going to look up to people as role models and mentors, why not look up to people that are changing lives and changing the world for the better. Now, Mark Cuban isn't out doing humanitarian missions (to my knowledge), but he is a great teacher, businessman, entrepreneur, and mentor who shares his expertise and skill with others. He also keeps it very real! I have a pretty straightforward mentality too, so I can appreciate Mark's bluntness.
Below is an awesome video made by Evan Carmichael (most days this is the only channel on YouTube that I watch), from his Top Ten Rules for Success Series. I have the video set to start on Rule 4. Try out different things . I wrote an entire Blog Post last week on trying out new things in order to get to know yourself (click here to watch/read), so you can see that this idea is super important. I wanted to show you guys that I am not the creator of these concepts, but I have found that they ring 100% true from my experience of going out and testing these common theories that I kept reading about. It is the truth. You will never know what you are good at or what makes you happy unless you try out different things. The things that you find you are good at and make you happy is what you need to be focusing on.
I like helping people, working out, traveling, reading and writing, I like creative expression through modeling, entrepreneurship, and I am happiest in competition, and with lots of freedom, and changes in scenery. That is me, and I have only found these things out through going out there and trying so many different things! It isn't over either. I am now starting to hone in on a few things that make my heart happy, and in turn make me a better person to those around me. Do everyone you love a favor and try something new today. It could be anything from booking that trip to Lake Tahoe, or signing up for that yoga class, maybe learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or running in that half marathon that you've seen advertised for years now. These are just examples that popped in my head, but I am sure you get the concept.
When you find that thing or those things that you are both good at and make your heart sing, this will boost your CONFIDENCE level, because it will make you see that you are not only good at something, but you are good at something that you actually like doing! Holy cow, mind blown!
XOXO,
Be Beautiful. Be Brave.
