Limitations as Friends
Limits are real for everyone.
Limits are truths.
They are also a choice.
Once identified and contemplated we can actively choose to grow and mold ourselves to overcome our own personal limitations, but like with anything in life, it takes time and rigorous dedication. It’s an entire process filled with constant goal setting, emotions, ego, challenges, awareness, and change. That’s why I find it very important to decide which limitations are actually worth overcoming and which are worth identifying, course correcting, and moving on, because, contrary to popular belief, not every limitation is worth transcending.
The last 6 months of my life have made me brutally aware of my own limitations, but because of that my vision has become so much clearer. I now have the strength to not only identify my limitations without harsh criticism and judgement, but to get to know myself, and with that, knowing I can pick and choose which limitations are there to overcome and which are there to guide me, feels like freedom. And knowing that I don’t need to overcome obstacles or crush every goal to prove something, is also freedom. Be your own best friend and figure out your “why”, so you can choose wisely when to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix…
Happy quarantining my friends.
XOXO,
Angela H.
