Discovering Your Passion and Purpose

Discovering Your Passion and Purpose

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. —Mark Twain

Discovering your passion helps you to narrow down your niche (business term for a differentiation within the marketplace) and this is when a job doesn't feel like just a job or when life doesn't feel like you are just going through the motions, because you are using your gifts and passion.

Answer these questions for YOURSELF. No one is in charge of your fulfillment in life, so take the time to get to know yourself. It may look like a lot of questions but you are so worth the time investment. Message me with any questions. Remember this isn’t the answer it is a stepping stone in your awareness, self compassion, and discovery journey.

Ask yourself these questions…

• What websites do you visit often?

• What kind of books do you read?

• If you could start a business doing anything in the world (and money wasn't an issue), what would it be?

• If you could get paid to do or make something for others what would it be?

• What skills do you have that could be translated into services?

• What do people thank you for doing for them?

• What tools or online applications do you know how to use better than others?

• What do you find yourself doing in your free time?

• If money were no object, what would you be doing with your life?

• What do people always seem to ask you to help them with?

• What did you want to be when you were little around the age of 8-10yrs old? What did you absolutely love doing?

• What were you naturally talented at as a teen and as an adult? You may not even realize they are talents because it’s “just the way you are” so if you need to ask a parent, sibling or spouse what you are good at, ask.

• What do your friends, peers or family members typically ask you for help in?

• If you were asked to teach something that you knew to someone what would you be teaching?

• What would you regret not doing in life?

• What do you enjoy doing now that makes you happy to do?

• What do you love doing so much that it can make you forget that your favorite TV show is on or you don’t mind losing sleep over it or you wouldn’t mind waking up at the crack of dawn to get it started?

• What problem in the world would you want to contribute to fixing? i.e. inequality, homelessness, sex trafficking, child abuse, educational barriers women's rights, etc...

Are there commonalities in your answers?

Now send text messages to your friends and family and ask them, what your strengths are. Write them all down and then see which strength had the highest number?

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or comment. I would love to hear about your introspection.

Stay Beautiful. Stay Brave.

XOXO,

Angela
